Introduction

Hello and welcome to my blog!
This blog I have created is dedicated to my AS Media Coursework as a way of keeping up and writing down my current progress. For the coursework I will be creating the first opening two minutes to a original movie. The movie itself would have been completely designed by me, this meaning, I would have had to pick the genre, narrative, characters and done the video all independently!
What I am hoping to get out of this coursework and ultimately - my final product - is a movie opening that appears very professional, well-designed and also includes a variety of camera angles and movements.
For me to make that happen and for my overall opening to be successful, I will have to take things such as mise-en-scene, lighting, sound, representation into consideration. 
For example, I will have to research more into the genre of my movie, so for example, if I was to do horror, I would (in most cases) have to include typical horror conventions, such as low key lighting and the setting to be isolated, this being beneficial if I want the audience to be able to automatically recognize and identify the genre in which my movie is. 
I hope this will all show in my work and final product in the weeks to come.
